How to hire faster without lowering the bar

Every hiring manager has felt the tension: move fast and risk a bad hire, or move carefully and lose great candidates to faster competitors. The good news is that this is a false trade-off.

The teams that hire both fast and well treat recruiting like a product. They define the role with a scorecard, not a wish-list. They batch interviews so feedback is fresh. And they remove the silent killers of momentum — unscheduled debriefs, slow approvals, and vague next steps.

Start with a single owner per role. When everyone is responsible, no one is. A clear directly-responsible individual keeps the loop tight and candidates warm.

Finally, measure the funnel. If you don't know your time-to-first-shortlist or your offer-acceptance rate, you can't improve them. What gets measured gets hired.
